Board of Directors

Jonathan Kuchin has served as Chairman of the Board since September 2020 and as an independent director since April 2014. He is also a member of the Audit Committee. Mr. Kuchin, a certified public accountant, has more than 29 years of experience in public accounting. He served as a real estate tax partner focused on public and private REITs at PricewaterhouseCoopers, or PwC, in the New York City office from 2006 until his retirement in 2010. From 2004 to 2006, Mr. Kuchin was a tax service partner for large corporations at the PwC New York City office. Prior to 2004, Mr. Kuchin served as the tax partner in charge of the PwC Seattle office, focusing his practice on large public companies, while also managing the practices of 85 tax professionals, including partners specializing in international tax, state and local tax, financial service tax and private companies. Mr. Kuchin spent nine years with Coopers & Lybrand before he was admitted to its partnership in 1997.

Michael A. Seton is President and Chief Executive Officer of Sila Realty Trust, Inc. and a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Seton is a member of the Management Committee and is responsible for the strategic vision and all day-to-day investment and operating activities of the company. Mr. Seton has approximately 30 years of real estate investment and financial experience; and has been directly involved in billions of dollars in real estate acquisitions and financings. Under Mr. Seton’s leadership since founding the company in 2014, the company’s assets have grown to over $2 billion of diversified healthcare properties throughout the United States. Mr. Seton previously worked for Eurohypo AG (now part of Commerzbank AG) as a Managing Director and Division Head in the Originations Group and began his career in the Public Finance and Real Estate Departments at The Sumitomo Bank, Ltd. Mr. Seton received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Vanderbilt University.

Z. Jamie Behar joined Sila as an independent director in June 2022, and serves as the Audit Committee Chair and as a member of the Nominating & Corporate Governance Committee. Ms. Behar currently serves on the board of directors of three additional companies, including Armour Residential REIT, Shurgard Self Storage, and Benefit Street Partners Multifamily Trust. Ms. Behar’s previous board of director positions include Sunstone Hotel Investors, Forest City Realty Trust, Gramercy Property Trust, Broadstone Real Estate Access Fund and Hospitality Europe, B.V. Ms. Behar also served as a member of the board of directors for Broadstone Real Estate Access Fund up until its liquidation in 2022. Ms. Behar has extensive executive level leadership and real estate experience. From 2005 to 2015, Ms. Behar was Managing Director of Real Estate & Alternative Investments for GM Investment Management Corporation (GMIMCo), having previously served there as Portfolio Manager for 19 years. Ms. Behar was responsible for the management of approximately $12 billion (at peak portfolio value) of primarily private market and publicly traded real estate on behalf of both General Motors Company and other unaffiliated clients. Ms. Behar is a member of the Real Estate Investment Advisory Council of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts, serves as co-chair of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) Governance Committee, and is a member of the PREA Research Committee. Ms. Behar was on the board of directors of PREA from March 2008 through March 2014, having held the position of Board Chair from March 2010 to March 2011.

Adrienne Kirby became an independent director in April 2021 and serves as the Compensation Committee Chair and a member of the Nominating & Corporate Governance Committee. Since 2019, Ms. Kirby has served on the board of directors of three private companies: Trellis Rx, MedVet, and Greenway Health. Ms. Kirby has forty years of healthcare leadership and operations experience in all sectors of healthcare delivery. Most recently, Ms. Kirby served in several leadership roles with Cooper University Health Care as Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 2018 to 2019, President and Chief Executive Officer from 2013 to 2018, and Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from 2012 to 2013. In these roles, Ms. Kirby led the implementation of strategic partnerships and the development of a strategic plan resulting in key growth outcomes, significantly improving the company’s financial performance and achieving unprecedented volume growth. From 2010 to 2012, Ms. Kirby served as an executive for MedStar Health, a nine-hospital healthcare system with operations in Washington, D.C. and throughout Maryland, as Senior Vice President, MedStar and as President of Franklin Square Medical Center. Ms. Kirby previously worked for VIRTUA Health, the largest health system in southern New Jersey, performing in various roles from 1999 to 2010, culminating as Chief Operating Officer of Voorhees Hospital and Ambulatory Operations. Ms. Kirby is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a certified Master Professional Director by the American College of Corporate Directors.

Verett Mims joined as an independent director in June 2022 and is a member of both the Audit Committee and the Compensation Committee. Ms. Mims currently serves on the board of directors of Sunstone Hotel Investors and Illinois Humanities. Additionally, Ms. Mims currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Blum Capital Partners, L.P. (Blum Capital), a long-term strategic equity investment management firm where she leads a team of seasoned accounting and finance professionals responsible for the Financial, Operations, Compliance, and Tax functions of the firm. Ms. Mims is a recognized thought leader who has repeatedly been invited to speak about her successes in balancing profit and loss performance with financial exposure to positively influence corporate strategy and shape governance structures. Prior to joining Blum Capital, Ms. Mims worked at The Boeing Company from 2002 through early 2020.

Roger Pratt has been an independent director since July 2018 and serves as the Nominating & Corporate Governance Committee Chair as well as a member of the Compensation Committee. Mr. Pratt was the Managing Director for Prudential Real Estate Investors (PREI) from 1995 until his retirement in 2014. In this capacity he served as a senior leader at PREI, which over the course of his 32-year career with PREI became a global real estate manager with over $50 billion in gross assets under management. Mr. Pratt served as a member of PREI’s U.S., Latin American, and Global Investment and Management Committees; as Co-Chief Risk & Investment Officer; and as Senior Portfolio Manager for multiple funds. On behalf of the PRISA II fund, he served on the board of trustees of Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide (formerly NYSE: HOT) from 1997 to 1999. He also served as Senior Advisor to the Elite International Investment Fund from 2016 to 2021. Mr. Pratt began his career with the Prudential Realty Group (PRG) in 1982.
